Hi everyone,

a friend of mine has a LPT that was converted to FPT..its a 1990 MY 3 door AERO
nothing wrong there, but just lately since he has had a full service (with saab parts) & a gearbox rebuild..

his car will not start while "HOT" now.......

it starts fine from "cold" but if driven then stopped the car will not start again until it has cooled down for about 1 hour...
also just lately it some time suffers from a dodgy idle ie idles from 600rpm to 1100rpm then settles down to 900rpm..

the fuel filter was replaced in the service, now we have replaced the NTC sensor & the car is still the same..
we tried my spare 2.8Bar FPR last night, the car started when "hot" we let it idle for about 2 minutes then turned it off, tried again & it would not start again

car seems to turn over fine but does not fire up..dizzy & rotor arm were replaced in the service which was 3 weeks ago.

any ideas Paul

Could also be a problem with the bat. Try interchanging those first.

Edit Oops messed up my "inner translation" of the last phrase, sorry . . . no ifurther idea from me. ..

anyone had any ideas, would a dodgy O2 sensor cause hot starting problems ? or a dodgy throttle switch?

Paul
