Frage zu accessories

Hello Saab Freunde.

Ich bin neu in diese forum registered und muss euch gleich mit fragen belasten. hoffe meine schlechte deutsch ist nicht too bad und ich mich entschuldigen. Ich fahren eine saab 900 convertible von 1989 mit turbo engine 16V. habe die automobil von die us mitgenommen weil ich jetzt wieder einemal eine jahr hier und mochte nun ein paar teile verbauen die ich gekauft auf ebay vor kurze zeit.

das gleich meine erste frage: habe eine satz air outlet covers fuer bessere cw-wert. very nice parts und in farbe von meine automobil habe ich schon spray aufgebracht. problem ist nur das ich nicht exactly wissen wohin mit das covers. habe gesehen diese auf die hatchback und frage mich nun wie am besten anbringen auf meine convertible. habe auch stainless schrauben geholt von size 6,5x32 mm für festmachen in baumarkt. nun ich suchen nach richtige position. size von die cutout ist kein problem. problem ist kennt ihr eine platz zum download von schablone oder hat hier eine freundliche mensch ein schablone fuer mich. das cover muss on both sides exaktly sitzen und wie ausmessen so besser schablone. das problem is das die hohlraum darunter man muss das metal schneiden wie ihr sicher wissen. zum bohren und schneiden habe ich die richtige werktools. eine machine zum drillen der loeher und die jigsaw mit schneidblade fuer metal. da in deutschland mehr rain habe ich eine spray mit zink fuer die prevention von corrosion mit gekauft, in baumarkt. und hammer und zang zum wegmachen von dents. auch die iso-tapes fuer die edges und eine marker.

vielleicht ihr here koennt mir helfen.

zum thema:

die vent covers sind NUR für das 900 CC, sprich hatchback... die haben hinten luftschlitze die von den covers verdeckt werden sollen. verbau dir nicht dein schönes convertible damit!!!

look, the hatchback has some air-grills on the side. on this grills you put your vent covers...

How much quicker is your Saab with those Covers? Is the fuel consuption lower?

Hi!

Yeah, I wanna put them on my convertible cause it´s part of my customizing plan. I already lowered the car a ´lil bit but not too extreme. I use black powder coatet 15" heuschmid 5 spoke alloy wheels with polished rims on yokohama tires. well, I think 16" wheels look a bit too big on the ´ol 900 in my opnion. anyway it´s gonna be a bit more freaky than most of the ol´ convertibles around. we already made a special paintjob on it with the a scifi like saab griffin airbrush logo on the hood, very stylish. paint is two colored: it starts with a deep atlantic blue metallic in the front which floats into a classic scarabee green metallic on the back to give it a special accent. so the car looks like it´s a goin´ 100 mph even when it stands still. and some neon lights around. so I wanna use the covers to place LED lights underneath them, which I think would be pretty cool I think. all the emblems on the car were taken from a ´79 saab 99 turbo. I try to use these classic turbo style elements from the golden age on the car incl. the turbo gauge and glovebox. what do you guys think about my plan?

Hi Stan,

I can imagine that some guys here aren't very amused. But every one has got his own style ;) Maybe someone here can give you an imagination of your plan simulating your idea with photoshop??

In your case, I would leave your cab's back like it is: in its original design - and I would give/sell the covers to IljaOblomov ;) ;)

Ich weiß schon: gute Photoshop-Arbeit, sieht aber dennoch k**** aus - rein inhaltlich :)

@ stan - no grills, no covers - or will you insert some grills? Besides of all: now you have some opinions. finally it is your choice. but keep in mind the case you want to sell the cab ...

Stan just look at the beuty of the car from Jamaicaneisbaer...This is the style that old saabs deserve..

Ich würde die Covers etwas höher montieren, im schwarzen Bereich, da passt es farblich besser und in dem Material kann man auch leichter den passenden Ausschnitt einfügen........

Dazu überhaupt eine technische Frage:
Würden die Belüftungsschlitze überhaupt einen Entlüftungseffekt beim CV haben?

@kevin: ja würde wohl schon ein wenig was rausblasen. Das cab hat aber serienmässig schon eine Entlüftung, hinten rechts unter der Stossstange.
