I spent yesterday afternoon re-routing my intake pipe from the turbo to the FMIC..
the new one is shorter & bigger so its less restrictive.. less "turbo lag"
had to fit a flexy top rad hose as well to fit the intake pipe..

on the down side I have had to remove my left hand headlamp wash/wiper as this was in the way & also I have had to move the 2nd horn..

so I can lower the front of the T8 without worring about hitting the intake pipe

as the front of the T8 looked like before how low were the intake pipes

oh oh, is this position a good idea?

should be ok, because when you hit the rails or the pipe for that matter while driving, you are doing something seriously wrong ;-)

parking lots could be troublesome though, especially the type where you are forced to park with the front chassis overhang (is that the right word for it?) over the side walk.
sometimes this is a close call even with the factory front lip on turbos.

@pda
i really like that downpipe, very nice!
:-)

that throttle body side intake pipe has still to be re-routed :biggrin
the other side(turbo) was as low but now its 100mm higher..

I'm going to do the throttle body side asap :image011

glad you liked the 3" exhaust...it works well

nice you didn't have to cut the pull-thingys, i mean those which you use when you pull the car with another. .
really it runs completely nicely? I have heard doubts about any other IC than in the ordinary position from the manufacturer of your special cylinder head. . .

Do you feel any positive effect compared with a serial Saab-IC?

the Volvo 760/740 Intercooler is very good, it does not suffer from "HEATSOAK" like the standard C900 one..
as you see you do not have to loose the front towing eyes, as you do if you use a Saab 9K one.

as for being better yes it is, it can handle up to 260/280bhp with any hassle

Since Saturday I have removed the old battery tray as this is only held in by 3 nuts/bolts..so more weight saving :daumenhoch
